The Calar Alto Computer System

This article is an explanation about the main aspects of the CAHA Computer System. It was first published on  the 1999 Calar Alto Newsletter. Since then, lots of changes took place on our system. So, once a year (if possible) the article is reviewed and updated according to the modifications of the period. Of course, it still have some of its original contents, but its main goal is that you can see the actual state of our Computer System and understand how it is working.

Please, note the article cannot cover a deep explanation of our system, but it will introduce you on how the things were done in the past and why, and the place we have reached to at the present. If you are new at CAHA or you are visiting us, its read is recommended.

You can complete this article with the yearly news which started on 1999 and are released at least once a year.
