Problem: AG FILTER ERROR.

    Diagnostic :
  • Red error flag "AG FILTER ERROR" in PMAS Status Window.

    Explanation :
  • The VME motor controller has experienced an error condition of the A&G Camera filter stage. The error may be related to a hardware problem, a software problem , or to a spurious error condition. If the error is prevailing despite the solution advised below, a more serious hardware failure must be suspected. Consult support for advice.

    Solution :
  • On rike prompt, type :

    After agfilStatus, the following message should appear: TBD.

    If the LOCKED status is not reached, reset the vme controller lea (reset button on lea frontpanel - do not confuse with abort button !) Repeat the sequence from above. If there is no success, call support.

    Note: It is possible to dismount the AG camera filter stage and carefully rotate the translation spindle by hand. One can thus move a certain filter into the optical path and continue operation.

    Alternatively, switch to the standard 3.5m TV Guider system:
