The upper left frame shows a single full 2K x 4K image, which is the
current standard configuration. Note that the criss-cross pattern has nothing
to do with the response of the system but is merely an aliasing effect
of the display. The square format lower right picture is an enlarged portion
of this exposure, approximately from the middle of the chip. There are
two sets of 16 spectra visible, corresponding to two rows of spatial elements
of the lens array, the gaps clearly marking them as distinct groups. The
brighter spots which are superimposed on the continuum are indicative of
emission lines which were produced by the Neon spectral line lamp, operating
in this case in parallel with the continuum lamp.
